Let's Make Tacoma Safer Pledge
What is the Let's Make the World Safer Pledge? Using the PulsePoint AED app, we're going to have our community and beyond register AEDs around them with the app. Our goal is to get Tacoma residents outside of the SOTAbots to log AEDs around them. This app is popular in Seattle and even Houston where the FIRST championship is held. Let's get Tacoma on the map, and help make our community and beyond safer.
Safety in SOTAbots
We make presentations to teach the team how to be safe. We communicate with other teams at competitions to promote a safety culture. We communicate with other leadership to ensure everyone is being safe in their respective subteam. We also present to individual subteams about safety topics relevant to them. We make SOPs (standard operating procedure) to ensure everyone knows how to stay safe in their specific area of work.
