The Tacoma Robotics Alliance is a south sound based robotics group, founded in 2012 by FIRST® Robotics Competition teams 2557 - The SOTAbots and 360 - The Revolution. Since then it have grown to 8 other teams, from both FRC, and in FTC.

THE IDEA

Why was the TRA created?

The intent of the TRA when it was founded was to help, support, share knowledge and resources, and most of all, have fun all together. What started out in Tacoma, WA with just 2557 and 360, has grown to the greater south sound area harboring over 8 teams. The TRA serves to support any robotics team or group, FIRST and non-FIRST.

FRC TEAM 2557

From Tacoma, WA, founded in 2008, have been a long-standing founder of the TRA, their iconic bright yellow, microphone breaking cheers, and love for volunteering, the SOTAbots are nearly an impossible team to forget.

THE REVOLUTION

FRC TEAM 360

From Tacoma, WA, founded in 2000, the first ever PNW team, spinning around with everyone who visits their pit, 360 always manages to innovate.

Norse Code

From Puyallup, WA, founded in 2013, Norse Code stems from their parent team, Horns of Havoc, using FTC as a stepping stone for their students to learn more about FIRST Robotics
